Opening Hours

Our experienced Guiding Staff are waiting to welcome the public to the Battle of the Boyne exhibition.

Winter opening hours from October 1st – the Visitor Centre will open at 9am and last admission at 4pm.

Please note: Group tours may be booked by contacting the Battle of the Boyne directly at battleoftheboyne@opw.ie or telephoning 041 980 9950

PLEASE NOTE:  From October 1st Main Entrance Gate to the estate locked at 4pm sharp.  Exit Gate locks at 6pm sharp.  A call-out fee will apply for vehicles still parked in car park after the 6pm deadline.

If you have made a booking to visit the Battle of the Boyne Exhibition please allow some extra time for parking as the car park is extremely busy at all times, particularly at weekends.  The gates may close briefly if the car park is at capacity.

* Please note that the Visitor Centre, Main Gates & Car Park may be closed due to weather conditions.  Please contact the Visitor Centre at 041 980 9950 to avoid disappointment.

Facilities:

Visitor Centre, Audio Visual Show, original and replica 17th Century weaponry displays, laser battlefield model, tea pavilion, toilets, walled garden.

Self guiding walks through parkland and battle site.

Partial access for people with disabilities. Please be advised that Visitors to the site who may require special assistance or those with mobility issues should contact the Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre directly on 041 980 9950 in advance of their visit.

Use of the grounds and facilities of the Battle of the Boyne – Oldbridge Estate are subject to permission from the OPW in advance.

Any groups wishing to hold any event on site including running/walking/cycling groups etc. must contact this office at battleoftheboyne@opw.ie or 041 980 9950

Hazard Warning

Canal and River nearby – deep water caution.  Uneven terrain on park lands – suitable footwear required.  Dogs must be kept on leads at all times.
